Welcome to friendliness,
Bienvenue à lamitie,
Lamitye i nou bonzour.
The Hilltop Boutique Hotel was once the home of deceased Captain Tregarten who ferried the exiled Sultan from Zanzibar to Seychelles in 1921.
In 1972, the late Mrs. Kathleen Fonseka signed a purchase deal with the Captain and established a guesthouse business.
She made it her duty to have happy guests which she easily achieved since friendliness was her virtue.
Mrs. Fonseka also founded the famous Marie-Antoinette Restaurant neighbouring the Hilltop property.
